Yann Sommer: Wonderful to be with Inter Milan

Yann Sommer is enjoying his football at Inter Milan.

The Switzerland goalkeeper is in his first season at Inter and has helped the club now on the brink of winning the Scudetto.

Sommer, 35, told RSI Sport: "The most important thing is that I live well. I do everything I can for my body and to perform at my best and I really enjoy playing football. Playing every three days and perfecting my performances is a great challenge and I need it. It's a challenge that allows me to always perform at my best, my level is also thanks to the attention I reserve for football day after day.

"Surprised, I would say not, also because last season they reached the Champions League final. The quality of the team and the skill of coach Inzaghi could also be perceived from outside. I couldn't wait to start this adventure, I said to myself: 'Ok, I'm joining a top Italian and European team, a united team that already knows each other very well'.

"For a goalkeeper it's wonderful to arrive in a new reality and find it already so compact and strong, it's wonderful to be at Inter."
