Thomas Tuchel got off to a superb start in his first game as Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Bayern beat Borussia Dortmund 4-2 at the Allianz Arena to replace their rivals as Bundesliga leaders.
Dortmund traveled to Bayern knowing that a win would see them move five points clear with eight rounds of fixtures remaining.
But Bayern swiftly ended any hope of a Dortmund victory by storming into a 3-0 lead inside the opening 23 minutes.
Bayern's first goal of the Tuchel era was a complete freak.
Dayot Upamecano overhit a long pass and the ball bounced through to Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel.
As Kobel attempted to hoof the ball upfield, an awkward bounce resulted in him slicing his attempted clearance.
Kobel then watched on in horror as the ball rolled into the back of his net.
Two goals from Thomas Muller then put Bayern in total control.
Kingsley Coman made it 4-0 early in the second half before late strikes from Emre Can and Donyell Malen added a trace of respectability to the score for Dortmund.
Bayern are now two points clear of Dortmund.
Tuchel's team also have a superior goal difference of 47, compared to Dortmund's 22.
