Knicks guard's Indiana slander resurfaces ahead of series
New York Knicks guard Josh Hart Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Knicks knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals, where they will face the Indiana Pacers. That might not be welcome news for one member of the Knicks.

Video resurfaced late Thursday of Knicks wing Josh Hart relentlessly trashing the state of Indiana on his “Roommates Show” podcast with star Jalen Brunson. The topic came up in February, when Hart and his teammates were discussing how Indianapolis set up a temporary basketball court at their airport to promote this year’s All-Star Game.

Hart had virtually nothing good to say about Indiana, noting that even when playing the Pacers, he barely wants to be there.

“I’m not going to Indiana. If I don’t have to play the Indiana Pacers, I’m not stepping foot in that state,” Hart said. “I do not want to be in Indiana for any All-Star break, anything. I am not an Indiana guy. I am not an Indiana fan. They do got a White Castle there, and I love White Castle. It’s the only solid thing about Indiana. And Long’s donuts, the bakery — fire donuts. If not for those two things? Indiana, bottom of the barrel.”

No doubt Hart’s comments will make their way back to Pacers fans ahead of Game 3, which is scheduled for next Friday. Considering his attitude toward trash talk from the 76ers during the Knicks’ first-round series, he is not likely to care very much.
