Hitting home runs is nothing new for Colorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron. A nine-year veteran, Cron has already connected on 172 home runs during his career.
However, on Friday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cron hit a ball further than anyone has all season long.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Cron turned on a pitch from Arizona reliever Kenyan Middleton for a monstrous home run traveling an estimated distance of 504 feet.

Cron's long-ball topped the season's previous high mark of 499 feet, set by Milwaukee Brewers Christian Yelich earlier this week at Coors Field.
The 32-year-old now has two of the longest home runs hit this season. Earlier this year, Cron torched a homer that traveled 486 feet, now the fifth longest of the 2022 season.
Cron's majestic blast also set all-time marks. The 504-foot behemoth shot tied Cron for the second-longest homer record during the StatCast era.
